Powell River Competition of the Performing Arts receives help – Powell River Peak

Faculty District 47 shall be offering help for Powell River Competition of the Performing Arts.

On the January 18 board of schooling assembly, chairperson Dale Lawson indicated in correspondence to the competition that the college district could be offering $500, and that the rental price of Max Cameron Theatre could be waived for the competition. Lawson additionally confirmed that the speech arts entry prices for college kids of Faculty District 47 will once more be paid for by the college district.

“The competition is essential to the scholars of Faculty District 47 and we thank your group for the work and dedication in organizing this,” said Lawson in her letter.

This year’s festival begins February 24 and concludes March 4.
